Natalie Rae is an illustration studio specialising in

hand-drawn illustrations and pattern design.

Based in Singapore, our studio is known for

Rachel Tan’s distinctive style that brings her

unique charm to each project.

We offer both custom work and art licensing –

from stationary, home goods, fabric and apparel,

to packaging, books and print.

Hi! I'm Rachel.

I'm the founder and illustrator of Natalie Rae.

Natalie Rae is named in memory of my firstborn,

who was born still at 23 weeks, combining her name 'Natalie' and 'Rae', as short for my name.

She changed the way I wanted to live my life and gave me the courage to pursue illustration.

A few things about me

I am inspired by nature, the warmth of loved ones,

and shared experiences with others.

I love being outdoors, observing plants and wildlife.

My first degree was in Fine Art;

I then went on to study art education.

I used to teach art to primary school students, and

still love to spread the joy of creating and learning.

I love food, the beauty of it being gifted from the

earth in its seasons, and what people create with it.

I love to sew for myself and my family.

I think it's magical sewing something

you can wear from a piece of cloth!
